Position Title: Student Program Coordinator Reports To: Executive Director

Location: Hybrid (Buffalo, NY-based with regional and potentially international travel)

Start Date: Summer 2025

Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Position Overview:

The Education Collaborative of WNY (EdCo) seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Student Program Coordinator to lead the design, development, and execution of student-centered programs that cultivate leadership, global citizenship, and immersive educational experiences. This position will focus on expanding and deepening EdCo’s current program offerings, including leadership conferences and educational immersion programs, with a strong emphasis on servant leadership, equity, and experiential learning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development and Coordination

 

● Plan, organize, and implement student leadership conferences and events locally and regionally

● Develop and execute immersive educational travel programs that connect targeted curriculum to real-worldl earning experiences (e.g., EJI in Alabama, China Exchange).

● Pilot new program models during the 2025–2026 school year and evaluate effectiveness through data driven analysis.

 

Marketing and Outreach

● Create and implement marketing strategies to promote programs to schools, students, and families.

● Develop outreach materials and coordinate recruitment and registration for student participation

● Cultivate and manage school, university, and community partnerships

 

Funding and Logistics

● Collaborate on budget development for student programs; manage program-specific revenues and expenses

● Collaborate with the EdCo team to identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and donor support.

● Coordinate program logistics, including travel, accommodations, materials, and vendor relations

 

Student Support and Engagement

● Foster inclusive and welcoming environments that reflect EdCo’s values of equity, growth, and community.

● Provide on-site support during programs and trips; ensure the health, safety, and engagement of all student participants.

● Collect feed back from students and partners to inform program improvement

 

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degreein Education, Youth Development, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred)

● 5+ years of experience in student programming, leadership development, or experiential education

● Strong organizational and project management skills

● Excellent written/oral communication and relationship-building skills

● Experience working with diverse student populations (grades 6-12+)

● Experience in data management and analysis

● Comfort with travel and availability for occasional evenings/weekends 

 

Preferred Skills:

● Background in leadership development or curriculum

● Experience with grant writing or fundraising for youth programming

● Knowledge of equity-centered and/or culturally responsive pedagogy

● Familiarity with regional education networks and/or international student exchange

 

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 annually, which is determined based on experience, education and skill level. EdCo also offers health and retirement benefits, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and a flexible working environment.
