What is ETI?

The Emerging Teacher Institute is a yearlong professional development program designed to support new, emerging, and experienced educators in cultivating culturally responsive and inclusive classroom practices. Through hands-on coaching, collaborative workshops, and a supportive learning community, teachers will gain practical tools, refine their instructional strategies, and grow as reflective practitioners.

  • New and emerging teachers looking to build strong foundational skills.

  • Experienced educators seeking to refresh or deepen their practice.

  • Teachers who value collaboration, reflection, and ongoing growth.


Program Highlights

Community Kickoff
A full-day, in-person gathering to launch the year and connect with fellow educators.
August 20, 2025 | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Lunch included

Individual Onboarding
One-on-one meeting to set personalized goals for the school year.

Monthly Gatherings
10 interactive, 90–120 minute virtual or in-person sessions focused on building community, sharing best practices, and deepening pedagogy.

Instructional Coaching
Customized, tiered coaching cycles that may include:

  • Classroom observations (with confidential video recordings)

  • Co-teaching, co-planning, and modeling

  • Goal setting and reflection

  • Student work and data analysis

  • Access to a curated bank of instructional resources

CTLE Credit
Eligible participants receive CTLE credit upon successful completion of all program components.


A Safe Space to Grow

ETI maintains a confidential, non-evaluative environment where educators can take risks, ask questions, and reflect on their practice openly.  While we collaborate with your school, our goal is to focus is on growth, not evaluation.  Review the ETI MOU to better understand the roles and responsibilites of you, EdCo and your school.


2025–2026 Cost Structure

ETI is paid for in part by Grant Funding and in part by the participant's school of employment.

EdCo Partner Schools

  • 1st participant: $1,500

  • 2nd: $1,200

  • 3rd+: $960 each

Non-Partner Schools

  • 1st participant: $4,000

  • 2nd: $3,200

  • 3rd+: $2,560 each

*Discounts apply automatically after the first registration.

Spots are limited, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Teachers are selected based on application review and a short phone screening to determine individual coaching needs.  School of employment must also approve participation in the program.
